Rescue 1122 performs successful delivery in ambulance during emergency

MUZAFFARGARH, Jun 21 (APP): A team of Rescue 1122 Muzaffargarh successfully assisted in the delivery of a baby inside an ambulance while transporting a pregnant woman to a tertiary care hospital, ensuring the safety of both mother and newborn.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, the emergency control room received a request from the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Muzaffargarh to shift a gynecology patient to Nishtar Hospital Multan for specialized medical treatment. Responding promptly, Rescue 1122 dispatched an ambulance and shifted the patient after providing the necessary pre-hospital medical care.
During the journey, near Nawaz Sharif University on Nag Shah Road, the woman’s condition suddenly worsened and she showed signs of imminent childbirth. In view of the emergency and with the consent of the patient’s family, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Muhammad Luqman successfully conducted the delivery inside the ambulance.
Following the birth, the newborn was provided emergency medical care and oxygen support. The Rescue 1122 team then safely transported both the mother and the baby to Nishtar Hospital Multan for further treatment and observation.
The woman, a resident of Umar Pur near Wasanday, and her family praised the professionalism, swift response, and dedication of the Rescue 1122 team. They expressed heartfelt gratitude to the emergency personnel for ensuring a safe delivery and the secure transfer of both mother and newborn.
