Seven stolen motorcycles recovered, 4 arrested
RAWALPINDI, Jun 20 (APP):Police have intensified operations against gangs involved in street crimes, robbery, motorcycle theft and other criminal activities following arrest of four suspects belonging to two separate gangs and recovered stolen property, cash, and weapons.
According to police spokesperson on Saturday, Pirwadhai Police have arrested a two-member motorcycle theft gang and recovered seven stolen motorcycles from their possession.
In a separate operation, Westridge Police apprehended two members of a gang allegedly involved in robbery and theft cases. Police also recovered Rs72,000 in stolen cash along with weapons from the suspects.
Police said one of the arrested suspects had previously been declared a proclaimed offender in robbery cases and was wanted by police.
Police official stated that the suspects would be presented before the court with substantial evidence and that legal proceedings would be completed in accordance with the law.
The operations are part of ongoing efforts by Rawalpindi Police to curb street crime and dismantle criminal networks operating in the district.
