Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police solved three women murder cases linked to domestic disputes within 24 to 48 hours, prompting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to announce a cash reward of Rs2.5 million and appreciation certificates for the investigating teams.

An official told APP on Saturday that the IGP Rizvi shared details of the cases during a briefing, where he reviewed the performance of police teams involved in tracing and arresting suspects in recent murder investigations.

The IGP Rizvi said two women were shot dead over a domestic dispute in the Aabpara police station limits. To trace the suspect, Islamabad Police constituted seven special CIA teams and conducted raids at multiple locations in Islamabad, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the briefing, the prime suspect, Bilal Hussain, was arrested from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa within 48 hours of the incident.
Rizvi said investigators analyzed 117 call detail records (CDRs) and reviewed footage from more than 41 Safe City cameras while tracing the accused.
He said Islamabad Police received special cooperation from the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and KP Police during the operation, which helped in the arrest of the suspect.
The IGP further said that in separate incidents, two women were murdered over domestic disputes in the jurisdictions of Koral police station on June 15 and Sumbal police station on June 18.
Police arrested the suspects involved in both cases within 24 hours by utilizing cellular technology, digital surveillance and human intelligence, he added.
Rizvi said ICT Police had maintained its tradition of solving major cases within 24 to 48 hours through professional investigations, effective coordination and the use of modern technology.
In recognition of the outstanding performance and dedication of the police teams, the IGP announced a cash reward of Rs2.5 million along with appreciation certificates for the officers involved in solving the cases.
