LAHORE, Jun 19 (APP):A farewell ceremony was held here on Friday to honour Aqeel Butt, Weightlifting Team Manager of the Pakistan Police Sports Board (PPSB), on his retirement from the Police Department after completing a distinguished service career.
The ceremony was attended by family members of the retiring officer, senior police officials, athletes and personalities associated with sports.
Chief Sports Officer DIG Athar Ismail Amjad presented an honorary shield and bouquet to Aqeel in recognition of his valuable contributions to the Police Department and the promotion of weightlifting.
Speaking on the occasion, DIG Athar Ismail said Aqeel had rendered remarkable services for the development of weightlifting and sports during his career. He praised his professionalism, dedication, hard work and commitment. He added that his contributions would be remembered for years to come.
Senior police officers congratulated Aqeel Butt on successfully completing his service tenure and extended their best wishes for his future endeavours.
Addressing the participants, Aqeel thanked senior officers for their guidance and support throughout his career. He also expressed gratitude to the Police Department and attendees for the honour and appreciation shown to him on his retirement.
