PESHAWAR, Jun 19 (APP):The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has allocated 22.775 billion rupees for projects including conservation of water, improvement of irrigation system and protection of aquatic resources.
Presenting budget for 2026-27, KP Chief Minister, Muhammad Sohail Afridi told that the allocated amount would be utilized for implementation of 71 new projects and 167 ongoing projects.
The projects to be executed under the allocation include Sarkhawi Dam District Mardan to be completed with an estimated cost of Rs. 200 million. A total of Rs 1.45 billion rupees have been earmarked for Bawasa Dam Haripur.
Other projects include Torawari Dam in Hungu District to be completed with an estimated cost of Rs. 7.4 billion rupees, Khan Mir Kale Dam Orakzai costing Rs. 7.4 billion rupees, Khan Kot Dam South Wazirisan costing 7.4 billion rupees and Rs. 1.2 billion for conservation of water and protection of water resources in merged districts
