ISLAMABAD, Jun 19 (APP):The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), in a landmark initiative, has awarded a total of Rs 4 million in performance-based incentives to its players and coaches in recognition of their outstanding achievements in international and national competitions held between February and May 2026.
During this period, Pakistan enjoyed remarkable success on the international tennis circuit. The national team secured an impressive victory over Senegal in the Davis Cup, while Pakistani players dominated the ITF Juniors tournaments by capturing numerous singles and doubles titles, said a press release.
In the ITF Futures events held in Islamabad, local players delivered exceptional performances, winning singles and doubles championships.
To acknowledge these achievements, PTF President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi presented cash rewards to the following players and officials: Aqeel Khan, Muhammad Shoaib, Muzammil Murtaza, Yousaf Khalil, Rashid Malik, Muhammad Khalid, Mushaf Zia, Shahzad Khan, Furqan Ahmad, Muhammad Arshad Javed, Ehtisham Humayun, Hamza Roman, Abubakar Talha, and Mikaeel Ali Baig.
Speaking on the occasion, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation, said:
The Pakistan Tennis Federation is proud of the remarkable achievements of our players and officials. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment have brought great honor to Pakistan on the international stage. This reward is a token of appreciation for their outstanding performances and a reflection of PTF’s commitment to supporting and motivating our athletes.
For the first time, the Federation has distributed Rs. 4 million in performance-based rewards, demonstrating our determination to create a professional and rewarding environment for tennis players in Pakistan. We believe that recognizing excellence is essential for inspiring the next generation of players and strengthening the future of Pakistani tennis.
I congratulate all the players, coaches, and support staff on their achievements and assure them of PTF’s continued support in their pursuit of greater success at regional and international levels.
