PESHAWAR, Jun 19 (APP): The Department of Cardiology at Kuwait Teaching Hospital (KTH) here on Friday organized a free screening camp and awareness program to inform people about rising incidence of cardiovascular diseases.
The event that was held to mark World Hypertension Day featured a Continuing Medical Education (CME) accredited seminar and an awareness walk was participated in by healthcare professionals, patients and the general public.
Dr Muhammad Abdur Rauf, Head of Cardiology, delivered a keynote lecture urging the public to prioritize regular monitoring, lifestyle changes and strict treatment adherence to prevent severe cardiac complications.
He also suggested regular checkups and diagnostic tests and added that these practices would save many precious lives, besides aware people to take precautionary measures against heart-related ailments.
