KARACHI, Jun 19 (APP):Shipping activity remained active at the port where two ships namely, Albert-P and Nile Dutch Lion carrying containers, berthed at Container Terminal 1&2 respectively on Thursday.
Meanwhile two more ships, Aquavita Trust and Dayra Anita carrying 101,759 tonnes of coal also arrived at outer anchorage of the port during last 42 hours.
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them, two ships, Nile Dutch Lion and Kouros Diamond left the port on Friday morning while three more ships, Rhine, Metro Mistral and Meghna Venus are expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo volume of 197,148 comprising 170,819 tonnes imports cargo and 26,329 tonnes export cargo including containerized cargo carried in 5,966 Containers (5,172 TEUs Imports and 1,815 TEUs export) was handled at the Port, during the last 24 hours.
There are 11 ships at outer anchorage of the port, out of them two ships namely, Obe Grande and Aquavita Trust & another ship, MSC Tia V carrying Coal and Containers are expected to take berths at PIBT, HFP&S and QICT respectively on Friday, 19th June-2026, while two more container ships, MSC Maxico V and Safeen Power are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Saturday.
