QUETTA, Jun 18 (APP): In a historic development, the Balochistan Cabinet has lauded the province’s first-ever automation software-based budget, terming it a significant administrative milestone that enhances transparency and efficiency in financial management.
During a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, members expressed satisfaction over the digitized preparation of the provincial budget for the upcoming fiscal year. It was noted that for the first time in Balochistan’s history, the budget was fully prepared through automation software, ensuring greater accuracy, speed, and transparency while reducing human intervention.
Additional Chief Secretary for Development and Planning, Zahid Saleem, briefed the cabinet on the new system, explaining that the automation framework has shifted budget-making to a data-driven process. He emphasized that the reforms guarantee precision and accountability, marking a major step toward modernizing financial governance.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti paid tribute to Zahid Saleem and the entire Planning and Development Department team for their tireless efforts and professional services. He stated that the achievement reflects collective teamwork and represents a historic stride toward digital reforms in budget-making.
