Mirpurkhas DHQ Hospital finalizes muharram contingency plan
MIPURKHAS, Jun 18 (APP): Civil Surgeon and Medical Superintendent of the District Headquarters Hospital Mirpurkhas Dr. Hemji Chohan have finalized a contingency plan to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services from the 1st of Muharram until Ashura.
According to the plan, all non-essential leave for hospital staff has been cancelled and duty rosters for doctors and paramedical personnel have been prepared.
Medical teams will remain on duty round the clock throughout the period to handle any emergency situation. Arrangements have also been made to ensure the availability of ambulances, doctors, paramedical staff, and life-saving medicines during mourning processions.
The Medical Superintendent said strict instructions have been issued that no negligence or dereliction of duty will be tolerated.
Resident Medical Officer Dr. Mudassar Khan has been appointed as the focal person to oversee and coordinate all Muharram-related healthcare arrangements at the hospital.
