SACM Sania Ashiq reviews Muharram arrangements

LAHORE, Jun 18 (APP):On the special directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (SACM) for Special Education Sania Ashiq visited the Central Imambargah Model Town to review arrangements being made for Muharram-ul-Haram.
During the visit, license holders and organisers of the Imambargah met Sania Ashiq and expressed satisfaction over the measures undertaken by the district administration.
Officials briefed the Special Assistant on the preparations, informing her that planning for central monitoring, rescue services, medical cover, lighting, temporary public toilets, drainage and other essential facilities had been completed.
Sania Ashiq directed all relevant departments, including Rescue Services, to ensure exemplary arrangements for mourners and to maintain a peaceful and secure environment during Muharram.
Sania Ashiq further stated that all arrangements were being implemented in accordance with government directives and standard operating procedures (SOPs), adding that progress would be reviewed on a daily basis to ensure timely completion of all necessary measures.
The Punjab government, she said, remained fully committed to promoting peace, religious harmony and public convenience during the holy month.
Lahore Commissioner Maryam Khan informed the Special Assistant that all requirements along the routes of processions originating from central Imambargahs were being addressed.
She added that the administration was maintaining close coordination with organizers and license holders to ensure seamless arrangements and effective management of Muharram-related activities.
