NAB organized Webinar on “Functions of NAB, Students role in eradication of corruption”

QUETTA, Jun 18 (APP):In pursuance of Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) vision and directions of DG NAB (Balochistan), a Webinar on “Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption” was organized in collaboration with University of Loralai, as part of NAB’s ongoing anti-corruption awareness campaign.
Vice Chancellor Mr Ehsan Ullah Kakar, University of Loralai, professors, faculty members and a fair gathering of students attended the event. The primary objective of the webinar was to spread awareness among youth about the detrimental effects of corruption and to promote collective efforts for building a corruption-free society.
Mr Ehtisham-ul-Haq, Addl Director NAB (Balochistan), Vice Chancellor Mr Ehsan Ullah Kakar and other speakers engaged with students and faculty, discussing NAB’s vision, mission and the significant role, students can play in eradicating the menace of corruption.
The Deputy Director NAB (Balochistan), Mr Khuram Shehzad, delivered a comprehensive lecture and emphasized to students to adopt moral standards wherein abhorrence against corruption becomes an integral part of their personalities.
He also deliberated that the teachings of Islam also assert self-accountability and do not allow an iota of dishonesty and corruption. He added that nepotism, influence peddling, bribery, extortion and favouritism are the underlining cause of corruption, but unfortunately, these have been taken by society as a norm.
The collective efforts of students, as crucial members of society, can play a pivotal role in laying foundation of a corruption-free society.
Mr Ehtisham ul Haq, Addl Director, NAB (B) also spoke in the webinar and emphasized to students that they are the future of Pakistan and by being best at their endeavor of seeking knowledge, they would become the backbone of future Pakistan. Thereafter, he patiently responded to the questions raised by the students and faculty members.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Mr Ehsan Ullah Kakar and Director of the University of Loralai Mr Aslam Zaib also shared their thoughts on the topic. They appreciated the efforts of NAB Balochistan with assurance to extend all possible assistance in the anti-corruption awareness drive of NAB Balochistan. The Webinar concluded with mutual expression of gratitude and a note of thanks by both sides
