Aurat Foundation welcomes Iran-US MoU

ISLAMABAD, Jun 18 (APP):Aurat Foundation warmly welcomes the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the United States of America saying that it is a great leap towards regional and global peace.

According to a press release issued by Aurat Foundation, this moment in history was being awaited passionately by the entire world and peace-loving people.

Aurat Foundation believes that people including school girls, infants and the top leaderahip of Iran has endured much during the destructive war by offering sacrifices at the level not seen in last one thousand year of history in Mideast.

“We bow our heads in reverence for the steadfastness and sacrifices of the Iranian People”, the statement said.

Aurat Foundation firmly believes that lasting peace can only be achieved through dialogue, diplomacy, mutual respect, and adherence to international human rights principles. The path towards people-to-people peace talks should also be pursued.

Aurat Foundation highly appreciates the tireless, commendable, and effective efforts of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, whose statesmanship and commitment to regional peace contributed to facilitating a ‘historic ceasefire’ when the world was at the brink of “third world war’. Their efforts underscore Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting peace and stability at the international level.
