ISLAMABAD, Jun 18 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday reserved its decision on a request seeking removal of office objections to a petition filed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Khan Afridi and Finance Adviser Muzammil Aslam for a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan in jail regarding consultation on the provincial budget.
Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro heard the matter along with objections raised by the Registrar Office.
During the proceedings, the Registrar Office submitted a report stating that a larger bench of the Islamabad High Court was already hearing matters relating to jail meetings and petitions of a similar nature.
Counsel Ali Bukhari argued that the present petition was distinct as it sought a meeting specifically for consultation on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa budget. He informed the court that records of all previous petitions concerning jail meetings had also been placed on record.
After hearing arguments, the court observed that an appropriate order would be issued on the request and reserved its verdict on the matter.
