Information to highlight the institution’s role in providing justice to the public.
Addressing the session, which was attended by Director Information Naeem Malik and various media representatives, Ilyas Gill stated that the awareness campaign was initiated following the directives of Provincial Ombudsman Punjab, Ayesha Hamid.
He explained that the offices of the Provincial Ombudsman were functional at both divisional and district levels, allowing citizens to file complaints against government departments without any processing fee or the requirement of a lawyer.
Providing regional statistics, the Advisor informed that 1,319 complaints had been registered in the Sargodha region during the current year, out of which 342 had been successfully resolved.
On the occasion, Director Information Naeem Malik remarked that the Ombudsman’s office was playing a vital role in providing affordable justice to the people of the Sargodha region.
