MULTAN, Jun 17 (APP): Acting on the directives of the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has introduced a new and modern electricity bill format aimed at providing consumers with a more transparent, user-friendly and easily understandable billing experience.
Chief Executive Officer MEPCO, Engineer Gull Muhammad Zahid, said that the new bill format has been redesigned with consumers’ convenience in mind, enabling them to quickly access and understand key billing information without having to navigate complex details.
He said the revised format presents important information, including the payable amount, due date, electricity consumption units and other billing details, in a clearer and more organized manner. The initiative has been launched under the Ministry of Energy’s directions to improve transparency and customer facilitation in the power sector.
A notable feature of the new bill is the inclusion of QR codes, allowing consumers to access additional information, online services and digital facilities with ease. The bill layout has also been simplified to reduce unnecessary visual complexity and ensure that consumers from all segments of society can readily understand their billing status at a glance.
According to the MEPCO spokesperson, the introduction of the new electricity bill format marks a significant step towards consumer-friendly reforms. The initiative is expected to make bill details easier to comprehend while strengthening transparency, trust and service delivery in the electricity sector.
