Attock Police arrest 12 proclaimed offenders in major district-wide crackdown

ATTOCK, Jun 17 (APP): Attock Police have intensified their crackdown against proclaimed offenders and criminal networks, arresting 12 suspects in a series of coordinated operations across the district, officials said on Wednesday. The action is part of ongoing efforts to curb serious crimes and ensure law and order in the region.
According to police sources, multiple police stations conducted targeted raids on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Attock, Sardar Mavarkhan Khan. The operations led to the arrest of individuals wanted in cases involving illegal gold mining, attempted murder, kidnapping, and cheque dishonour.
Police said Attock Khurd Police arrested proclaimed offenders Hayatullah and Hakim Khan in an illegal gold mining case registered earlier this year, while Hassan Abdal Saddar Police detained Mubashir Ali in a 2025 cheque dishonour case. In separate actions, Jand Police arrested Abdul Rehman and Noor Hussain in another illegal mining case, Bahter Police apprehended Rafaqat in an attempted murder case, and Pindigheb Police captured Muhammad Ishaq in a kidnapping case.
In a separate incident, Bhattar Police arrested five suspects for allegedly attacking residents following a minor dispute in the Jhang area of Fatehjang tehsil. Police said the accused reportedly used axes and sticks during the assault, injuring several people. The suspects identified as Muhammad Azam, Muhammad Bilal, Muhammad Yaseen, Muhammad Ehtesham, and Muhammad Zeeshan alias Shani have been taken into custody, while investigations are ongoing to determine further links and possible additional arrests.
