BWMC reviews Muharram arrangements

Chief Executive Officer Waste Management Company (BWMC) Muhammad Nadeem Akhtar visited various Imambargahs, Majalis-e-Aza venues, and procession routes across the city to review cleanliness and sanitation arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram. 

BAHAWALPUR, Jun 17 (APP): Chief Executive Officer Waste Management Company (BWMC) Muhammad Nadeem Akhtar visited various Imambargahs, Majalis-e-Aza venues, and procession routes across the city to review cleanliness and sanitation arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram.
During the visit, Nadeem Akhtar stated that, in line with special directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, foolproof cleanliness arrangements will be ensured across Bahawalpur during Muharram-ul-Haram. He said BWMC has already initiated the implementation of its operational plan in this regard. He added that special cleanliness and washing operations will be carried out at all Imambargahs, Majalis venues, and procession routes to provide a clean and hygienic environment for mourners. A dedicated cleanliness drive will also continue in graveyards during this period.
The CEO directed the operations wing to immediately remove garbage, construction debris, and any obstructions from procession routes to ensure smooth conduct of religious gatherings and processions without inconvenience to participants. He reiterated BWMC’s commitment to utilizing all available resources to provide the best possible sanitation services to citizens and mourners during Muharram-ul-Haram across Bahawalpur.
