NUML, CMG hosts Quiz Program to mark 75 years of China-Pakistan diplomatic relation

The Confucius Institute at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), in collaboration with China Media Group (CMG) and the China Cultural Center in Pakistan (CCCP), has hosted a knowledge-based quiz program to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 17 (APP): The Confucius Institute at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), in collaboration with China Media Group (CMG) and the China Cultural Center in Pakistan (CCCP), has hosted a knowledge-based quiz program to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan.

Cultural Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, Chen Peng, attended the ceremony as the chief guest.

Addressing the participants, he said that China’s development was creating new opportunities for prosperity and growth not only for the Chinese people but also for countries across the region and the world. He emphasized the importance of further strengthening people-to-people ties and cooperation between China and Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, NUML Director General Brigadier Muhammad Rafiq Khan said that educational and cultural exchanges between China and Pakistan were bringing the peoples of the two countries closer together and playing a significant role in enhancing bilateral relations.
Wang Lei, representative of CGTN Urdu and China Media Group Pakistan, highlighted the enduring friendship between the two nations, describing it as a shining example of mutual trust, brotherhood, and shared development that continues to grow stronger over time.
Dean of the Faculty of Languages at the NUML, Dr. Jamil Asghar Jami, noted that the friendship between China and Pakistan had successfully withstood every challenge and expressed confidence that bilateral ties would continue to expand in the future.
During the quiz competition, students answered questions related to the history, culture, and bilateral relations of China and Pakistan, showcasing their knowledge and skills. Their performances were widely appreciated by the audience.
Students from the Confucius Institute also presented colorful cultural performances reflecting the shared cultural heritage, mutual respect, and longstanding friendship between the two countries.
At the conclusion of the event, Cultural Counsellor Chen Peng and NUML Director General Brigadier Muhammad Rafiq Khan distributed prizes among students who demonstrated outstanding performance.
A great number of students participated in the competition and demonstrated keen interest in learning more about the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
