KARACHI, Jun 17 (APP):Director General, MoFA Liaison Office Karachi, Government of Pakistan, Muhammad Irfan Soomro, inaugurated the newly launched Premium Floor at Hotel Mehran Karachi and highlighted the growing significance of Pakistan’s tourism and hospitality sectors in strengthening the country’s economy and international image.
Addressing the gathering, Soomro said that Pakistan, particularly Sindh, is witnessing increasing interest from international visitors, business travelers, diplomats, and corporate delegations.
 He remarked that tourism has become an important driver of economic growth and a valuable tool for promoting positive international engagement.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Consul General of Thailand Surashete Boontinand along with his spouse Mrs. Boontinand;  Mohammed Monjur Hossain, First Secretary, Bangladesh Deputy High Commission, accompanied by Fariha Monjur Hossain; MPA Asif Moosa; MPA  Fouzia Hameed; renowned Pakistani actress Ms. Sabahat Ali Bukhari, as well as diplomats, corporate leaders, and other distinguished guests.
Soomro emphasized that both public and private sector stakeholders have an important role to play in creating a welcoming environment for visitors.
 He noted that the Government of Sindh and various institutions are actively pursuing initiatives aimed at promoting tourism, cultural exchange, and international connectivity.
Expressing optimism about the future of Pakistan’s tourism industry, Soomro said that the country possesses tremendous tourism potential and that continued collaboration between government institutions and the private sector will further enhance Pakistan’s image and attractiveness on the global stage.
