SIALKOT, Jun 17 (APP):Commissioner Gujranwala Division Muhammad Ali on Wednesday visited Sialkot to review arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram, pre-flood preparedness, healthcare facilities and ongoing development projects in the district.
According to a spokesperson for the Deputy Commissioner’s Office,the commissioner inspected Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Daska, where he reviewed emergency and outpatient services, pharmacy and laboratory facilities, checked staff attendance and directed officials to ensure the presence of employees during duty hours.
He later visited the Central Imambargah Adda Pasrurian to review arrangements for Muharram processions and held meetings with organizers regarding the conduct of religious gatherings.
The commissioner said all necessary arrangements were being finalized in line with directives of Punjab Chief Minister(CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif to ensure the peaceful observance of Muharram.
He directed the concerned departments to complete road repairs,street lighting,sanitation,traffic management and parking arrangements along procession routes.
Muhammad Ali also reviewed pre-flood preparedness at Nullah Bhed and inspected ongoing development projects in the city. During a visit to the District Emergency Control Room,he directed officials to maintain round-the-clock readiness and ensure timely completion of public welfare schemes.
