NOWSHERA VIRKAN, Jun 17 (APP):Assistant Commissioner (AC) Nowshera Virkan, Sadia Jamal on Wednesday conducted inspections of Muharram procession routes at four locations and reviewed arrangements to ensure cleanliness and smooth conduct of religious events during the holy month.
According to official sources, the assistant commissioner chaired a meeting attended by the Tehsil Manager, Field Monitoring Officer, Assistant Manager, Sanitary Inspectors, and Supervisors.
During the meeting, she directed officials to improve sanitation services and strengthen administrative preparations for Muharram.
Expressing dissatisfaction over poor performance, she issued warnings to two supervisors. She instructed them to improve their performance immediately.
Sadia Jamal also visited the procession routes from Makiwala to Qila Jago, Ratta Dhotran, Machharanwali, and Qila Jago to assess ground-level arrangements.
During the visit to Makiwala, she reprimanded the area manager over unsatisfactory sanitation conditions and ordered immediate deployment of machinery to begin cleaning operations.
The officials informed the AC that the entire procession route would be cleared and cleaned to facilitate Muharram observances.
