Three witnesses recorded in Pervez Elahi land case, hearing adjourned till July 1

A special accountability court in Rawalpindi on Tuesday recorded statements of three prosecution witnesses in the Takht Pari land embezzlement case against former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and adjourned the hearing till July 1.

RAWALPINDI, Jun 16 (APP): A special accountability court in Rawalpindi on Tuesday recorded statements of three prosecution witnesses in the Takht Pari land embezzlement case against former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and adjourned the hearing till July 1.
The proceedings were conducted by Accountability Court Judge Sheikh Ejaz Ali. During the hearing, Assistant Director, Survey of Pakistan Muhammad Asif, patwari Muhammad Jahangir and a witness identified as Yar Muhammad recorded their statements before the court.
The court directed the prosecution to produce additional witnesses at the next hearing and deferred further proceedings.
During the previous hearing, the court had framed charges against Pervez Elahi in the case related to alleged embezzlement of Takht Pari land.
