FAISALABAD, Jun 16 (APP):Managing Director (MD) Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Saqib Raza has directed officials to ensure complete clearance of Muharram procession routes and provide uninterrupted drinking water supply for the mourners.
Chairing a meeting to review Muharram arrangements, the MD ordered the immediate submission of route clearance certificates and instructed field formations to maintain strict vigilance to prevent any disruption in sewerage and water supply services during the first ten days of Muharram-ul-Haram.
He said that all roads and routes leading to Majalis and mourning processions must remain completely free of sewerage issues while any leakage in water supply lines should be rectified without delay.
He stressed that civic facilities should be maintained at the highest standard to facilitate mourners and ensure the smooth conduct of religious activities.
He directed WASA officers to conduct daily inspections of procession routes and Majalis venues and ensure that all machinery remained operational round the clock to respond promptly to any emergency situation.
