ISLAMABAD, Jun 16 (APP):President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday paid tribute to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for carrying out a successful operation against terrorists belonging to Fitna Al-Khawarij in the border area of Attock.
The president lauded the professionalism and courage of CTD personnel for their action against the terrorists, and described it as an important step towards safeguarding national security, a Presidency’s news release said.
President Zardari said that operations against terrorist elements allegedly backed by India were essential for protecting the country’s security and stability. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to continue its campaign against terrorism until the complete eradication of the menace from the country.
