The Ombudsman Punjab on Tuesday secured the release of more than Rs.21.4 million in pending marriage grants for 60 beneficiaries across the province,providing much-needed financial relief to families whose claims had remained unresolved for a prolonged period.

LAHORE, Jun 16 (APP):The Ombudsman Punjab on Tuesday secured the release of more than Rs.21.4 million in pending marriage grants for 60 beneficiaries across the province,providing much-needed financial relief to families whose claims had remained unresolved for a prolonged period.
According to a spokesperson for the Ombudsman Punjab Office,the beneficiaries approached the institution after facing delays and non-payment of marriage grant claims by various provincial government departments.
Taking notice of the complaints,Ombudsman Punjab directed the departments concerned to resolve the cases and ensure payment of the outstanding dues without further delay.
As a result of the institution’s intervention and continuous follow-up,marriage grants exceeding Rs.21.4 million were disbursed to 60 beneficiaries.
The spokesperson said Ombudsman Punjab remained committed to safeguarding citizens’ rights and addressing public grievances through timely and effective administrative action.
The institution would continue its efforts to ensure transparent,efficient and hassle-free redressal of complaints across the province.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Ombudsman Punjab for facilitating the release of their long-pending dues and appreciated the institution’s effective complaint-resolution mechanism and citizen-friendly services.
