IHC moved for PTI founder’s signatures on power of attorney

The matter of obtaining signatures on vakalatnamas (powers of attorney) from PTI founder and his spouse Bushra Bibi has reached the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

ISLAMABAD, Jun 15 (APP): The matter of obtaining signatures on vakalatnamas (powers of attorney) from PTI founder and his spouse Bushra Bibi has reached the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Barrister Salman Safdar, on behalf of founder PTI and Bushra Bibi, filed separate contempt of court petitions against the superintendent of Adiala Jail, alleging non-compliance with the court’s orders.
The petitions state that despite the Islamabad High Court’s May 20, directives instructing the jail authorities to facilitate signatures on the vakalatnamas, the orders have not been implemented.
According to the petitions, the legal team repeatedly visited Adiala Jail to secure the required signatures, but the jail superintendent failed to comply with the court’s instructions.x
