Muharram control room activated: DC

Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir said that the district administration has fully activated a central control room at DC Complex for round-the-clock monitoring of mourning processions and other gatherings during the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram.

FAISALABAD, Jun 15 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir said that the district administration has fully activated a central control room at DC Complex for round-the-clock monitoring of mourning processions and other gatherings during the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram.
During his visit to Muharram Control Room on Monday, he reviewed monitoring arrangements, communication mechanisms and the overall preparedness of various departments tasked with maintaining law & order during the first ten days of Muharram.
He directed the officials to maintain uninterrupted surveillance and quick information sharing to ensure peaceful observance of the sacred month.
He said the control room would remain operational 24/7 until the night of Youm-e-Ashur and it would serve as the central hub for coordination among all relevant departments.
He instructed the officials to perform their duties with complete responsibility, vigilance and professionalism.
He directed the staff to remain alert at all times and ensure immediate response to any emerging situation.
He ordered comprehensive monitoring of all processions and religious gatherings through CCTV cameras, emphasizing that surveillance should cover every route and venue from all possible angles.
Additional Deputy Commissioner General Anwar Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance Mudassar Mumtaz and Admin Officer Riaz Hussain Anjum were also present during the visit and received briefings on operational readiness and monitoring procedures.
