Gold prices surge by Rs 10,800 per tola

The prices of gold registered a sharp increase in the local market on Monday, with 24 karat gold per tola rising by Rs 10,800 to settle at Rs 455,136 compared to Rs 444,336 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 15 (APP):The prices of gold registered a sharp increase in the local market on Monday, with 24 karat gold per tola rising by Rs 10,800 to settle at Rs 455,136 compared to Rs 444,336 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold increased by Rs 9,720 to Rs 389,600 from Rs 379,880, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold went up by Rs 8,824 to Rs 357,317 against Rs 348,493.
In the international market, the price of gold increased by $108 to $4,327 per ounce from $4,219 per ounce.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs 230 to Rs 7,509 from Rs 7,279, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs 197 to Rs 6,396 from Rs 6,199.
The price of silver in the international market also increased by $2.30 to $70.30 per ounce from $68.00 per ounce.
