ISLAMABAD, Jun 15 (APP):Parliamentarians welcomed the success of diplomatic efforts involving the United States, Iran and other regional stakeholders, describing the development as a major achievement for Pakistan and a significant milestone in international conflict resolution.
Speaking to the media outside the Parliament on Monday, Rana Qasim Noon, Member National Assembly, (MNA) paid tribute to the national leadership for its efforts in advancing peace and stability, stressing that lasting peace in the region is essential for economic growth and prosperity.
Pakistan’s role in promoting dialogue and reducing tensions had earned the country global recognition, he said, adding that the international community was increasingly viewing Pakistan as a responsible and constructive force for peace.
Shahida Akhtar Ali, Member National Assembly of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) described the recent diplomatic developments between U.S and Iran as a positive step for regional peace and stability potrating Pakistan’s positive image around globe as a responsible and peace-loving nation.
She said Pakistan has consistently advocated for peace at international levels, and the latest agreement reflects the country’s successful foreign policy efforts.
She noted that Iran is Pakistan’s neighboring and brotherly Islamic country, and any instability in the region directly affects Pakistan and nearby regions.
Highlighting the economic dimension due to tension in the region, she said fluctuations in global oil prices had adversely impacted many countries, including Pakistan. She expressed hope that the agreement would contribute to greater stability in energy markets and send a positive message regarding Pakistan’s role in promoting regional harmony.
