CM Balochistan highlights importance of blood donation on World Blood Donor Day

QUETTA, Jun 14 (APP): Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has issued a special message on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, underscoring the values of humanity, sacrifice, and social responsibility associated with voluntary blood donation.

Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that a single donation of blood can become a message of new life and hope for patients in need. He noted that the availability of safe and voluntary blood is a fundamental requirement of an effective healthcare system, particularly in emergencies such as accidents, surgeries, childbirth, and treatment of various diseases.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to healthcare reforms, the CM added that the Balochistan government is introducing historic changes to ensure timely medical facilities for the public. He pointed to the People’s Air Ambulance Service as a vital initiative providing emergency medical assistance to patients in remote areas, where the availability of safe blood plays a crucial role in saving lives.

Sarfraz Bugti praised voluntary blood donors as true benefactors of humanity who serve selflessly, and urged youth, educational institutions, and welfare organizations to actively promote the culture of blood donation. He called on society to strengthen this tradition, ensuring the protection of precious human lives.

“Let us promote the practice of blood donation and play our role in safeguarding valuable human lives,” the CM concluded.
