LAHORE, Jun 14 (APP): Incidents of bicycle and cattle theft continue to rise across Lahore, causing financial losses and concern among residents.
According to police records, 124 cases of bicycle theft and 437 cases of cattle theft have been registered in the city so far this year.
Statistics show that the Cantonment Division recorded the highest number of bicycle theft cases, with 38 incidents reported. It was followed by Saddar Division with 29 cases, Model Town Division with 20, City Division with 15, Iqbal Town Division with 12, and Civil Lines Division with 10 cases.
In cattle theft cases, Saddar Division topped the list with 137 incidents, closely followed by Cantonment Division with 136 cases. Model Town Division recorded 72 cases, Iqbal Town Division 40, City Division 36, and Civil Lines Division 16 cases.
Police officials said measures are being taken to curb theft incidents and apprehend those involved. However, citizens have called for more effective action against organized gangs engaged in bicycle and cattle theft to prevent further losses and ensure public safety.
