PU Film Department fortifying academia-industry links: Rana Mashhood

LAHORE, Jun 13 (APP): Prime Minister’S Youth ProgramME Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has assured all possible support for the projects and future activities of Punjab University Film and Broadcasting Department.

He met Dr Lubna Zaheer, Chairperson of the Film and Broadcasting Department, and discussed various educational, creative and industry-related projects of the department. The chairperson gave a briefing on the ongoing projects and initiatives in the sector, while a detailed discussion was also held on the practical training of students and the feature film project launched for the promotion of the domestic film industry.

Rana Mashhood said that the Film and Broadcasting Department is playing an important role in preparing trained and talented manpower for the media and film industry. Appreciating the services of the department, he said that this institution is playing an effective role in improving the professional skills of the youth and strengthening the links between academia and industry.

Chairman Prime Minister Youth Program also assured the federal government of full support for the ongoing and future projects of the department.

During the meeting, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan congratulated Dr. Lubna Zaheer on receiving the Presidential Award for Excellence from the Government of Pakistan and expressed his best wishes for her.
