Two killed in separate rain-related accidents as storms lash Chiniot

CHINIOT, Jun 13 (APP): Two people, including a woman, lost their lives in separate rain-related incidents in Chiniot on Saturday as strong winds, dust storms, and heavy rainfall swept across the district, causing disruption and damage in several areas.
According to rescue officials, a motorcycle skidded due to strong winds near the Sargodha Road Bypass and collided with a speeding car. The crash claimed the lives of 20-year-old Sana and 30-year-old Shahzad, both residents of Chenab Nagar, who died on the spot.
In a separate incident, a brick wall collapsed in the Mustafaabad neighborhood during the heavy rain, burying a parked car and a rickshaw under the debris. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the wall-collapse incident.
Rescue teams promptly reached the affected locations, carried out relief operations, and brought the situation under control. Authorities have urged residents to exercise caution during adverse weather conditions and avoid unnecessary travel during storms and heavy rainfall.
