CTO Kainat Azhar takes charge, vows stricter traffic law enforcement

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan assumed charge of her office and chaired an important meeting with all zonal DSPs to review traffic management, enforcement measures and citizen facilitation services in the federal capital.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 13 (APP): Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan assumed charge of her office and chaired an important meeting with all zonal DSPs to review traffic management, enforcement measures and citizen facilitation services in the federal capital.
An ITP official told APP on Saturday that soon after taking charge, the CTO Kainat held a detailed review of the city’s traffic management system and ongoing initiatives aimed at improving road safety and public convenience.
Kainat termed promotion of traffic discipline, effective traffic management and provision of quality travel facilities to citizens among the top priorities of Islamabad Traffic Police.

She directed officers to further strengthen enforcement of traffic laws and ensure indiscriminate action against violators.
The CTO issued instructions for strict enforcement against lane violations, one-way violations, use of mobile phones while driving, non-compliance with seat belt regulations, non-standard and illegal number plates, underage driving, one-wheeling and drifting.
She also directed that the performance of all zonal officers be monitored and evaluated on a daily basis to improve operational efficiency and accountability.
Kainat reaffirmed her commitment to making Islamabad’s traffic system safer, more organized and citizen-friendly through effective management and enforcement.
She said Islamabad Traffic Police would utilize all available resources and modern traffic management practices to provide better services and ensure smooth traffic flow across the federal capital.
