BAHAWALPUR, Jun 13 (APP): Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Sardar Ramesh Sing Arora paid rich tributes to the Pakistan armed forces as saying the minorities stood by the armed forces of the country.
He was addressing a ceremony at the Islamia University Bahawalpur here. Paying tribute to the services of the Pakistan Armed Forces, he said that the entire nation stands united with its military in safeguarding the country’s defense and security. He urged the youth to promote a positive image of Pakistan around the world through education, hard work, and national unity.
Provincial Minister Arora stated that the government of Punjab believes in sharing the joys and celebrations of citizens belonging to all religions. He said that the purpose of providing financial assistance during the religious festivals of minority communities is to support deserving families and participate in their happiness. He emphasized that minorities are an important part of Pakistan and assured that every possible measure would continue to be taken for their social and economic development.
Highlighting the importance of tolerance, interfaith harmony, and peaceful coexistence, he said that Pakistan can achieve sustainable progress only when all citizens, without discrimination, work together for the country’s development and prosperity.
The provincial minister also encouraged young people to pursue opportunities in modern education, information technology, artificial intelligence, and vocational skills. He noted that the government is launching various initiatives aimed at empowering youth and preparing them for future challenges.
