ISLAMABAD, Jun 13 (APP):Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon termed the federal budget a balanced and welfare-oriented financial plan, expressing confidence that it would contribute significantly to public well-being. He said the government’s focus on key sectors, including education and health, reflected its commitment to improving the quality of life of citizens.
While talking to the media on Saturday, he welcomed substantial allocation for the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and the Apna Ghar Programme, saying these initiatives would provide much-needed support to low-income families and play an important role in poverty alleviation.
He said the budget offered relief to pensioners and salaried employees and described it as encouraging for these segments of society. He noted that efforts had been made to keep taxes under control and that the budget had been prepared with due consideration of international economic conditions.
