Successful Negotiations: Government Employees End Parliament House Protest on Federal Minister’s Assurance

ISLAMABAD, Jun 13 (APP): The All Government Employees Grand Alliance has officially announced the end of its sit-in outside the Parliament House following successful negotiations and solid assurances from the Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary.
Federal Minister Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary personally visited the protest site to address the gathering. Sharing the breakthrough news with the demonstrators, the minister announced that more than 80 percent of the employees’ demands have been accepted. Following this landmark announcement, the atmosphere turned celebratory as employees chanted slogans in favor of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the federal government.
Elaborating on the dialogue process, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary stated that a detailed and highly productive negotiating session had also taken place a day earlier with the leadership of the All Government Employees Grand Alliance. He added that a high-level government committee, comprising Federal Minister Rana Sanaullah and himself, was formed on the special directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to swiftly resolve the legitimate grievances of the public servants.
The Federal Minister reassured the employees that despite the tight macroeconomic environment, the government has ensured maximum possible relief for public sector employees in the current budget. He emphasized that safeguarding the rights of government employees is the primary responsibility of the state, and the government will fulfill this commitment under all circumstances.
Concluding his address, the Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs expressed his gratitude to the central leadership and members of the All Government Employees Grand Alliance for reposing trust in the government’s assurances and peacefully calling off the protest.
