ISLAMABAD, Jun 12 (APP): Federal Minister for Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh on Friday welcomed the federal budget, describing it as a comprehensive and people-friendly financial plan presented under difficult economic circumstances.
Congratulating the government on the budget, the minister said special attention had been given to the salaried class, with efforts made to minimize the tax burden on fixed-income earners.
Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said the government had also announced a 7 percent increase in the salaries of public sector employees, demonstrating its commitment to support workers amid rising living costs.
He termed the budget a balanced package that would help accelerate economic growth and development, adding that the government’s measures were aimed at protecting the interests of ordinary citizens while strengthening the national economy.
The minister expressed confidence that the budget would play an important role in steering Pakistan towards sustainable economic progress and prosperity.
