BNU to launch two publications on drug-free campus, psychological first aid on Saturday

LAHORE, Jun 12 (APP): The Beaconhouse National University (BNU) will on Saturday launch two transformative publications aimed at strengthening student well-being and creating drug-free safe campuses across Pakistan.
The publications — Campus Care: A Guide to Psychological First Aid and From Risk to Resilience: BNU Substance Use Control Program — will be unveiled at a special ceremony at the university.
The event will formally operationalize BNU’s Drug-Free Safe Campus Model, positioning it as a national and international benchmark for higher education institutions in line with standards set by UNODC, WHO, and UNESCO.
BNU Vice Chancellor Dr. Moeed W. Yusuf will deliver the keynote address highlighting the strategic vision behind the initiative and the publication launch.
Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and Provincial Minister for School and Higher Education Rana Sikandar Hayat would be the chief guests of the launching ceremony.
The program will also feature an open mic session on inter-agency synergy for drug prevention, student well-being, and best practices in higher education, followed by a keynote address on higher education policy priorities.
Participants will later tour an exhibition showcasing community service projects undertaken by students from BNU and other universities in Lahore.
The event will be attended by government representatives, vice chancellors, experts, and stakeholders to foster collaboration in creating safer and more supportive academic environments nationwide.
