The federal government has earmarked Rs 212.175 million under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2026-27 for the ongoing project aimed at establishing a Change Management Unit within Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police to support institutional reforms, organizational modernization and improved service delivery.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 12 (APP): The federal government has earmarked Rs 212.175 million under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2026-27 for the ongoing project aimed at establishing a Change Management Unit within Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police to support institutional reforms, organizational modernization and improved service delivery.
According to Budgetry documents released on Friday, the project was approved by the Interior Division Development Working Party (IDWP) on January 17, 2025 and is being implemented under ICT Police Islamabad.
The total cost of the project stands at Rs 930.449 million, of which Rs 718.274 million had been spent up to June 30, 2026. The remaining throw-forward liability has been estimated at Rs 212.175 million as of July 1, 2026.
The allocation for fiscal year 2026-27 covers the entire remaining cost of the project and is expected to facilitate its completion.
The Change Management Unit is aimed at strengthening institutional capacity, improving organizational processes, supporting police reforms and enhancing operational efficiency through modern management practices and technology-driven governance.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by ICT Police to modernize policing systems, improve public service delivery and strengthen organizational performance in line with contemporary law enforcement requirements.
