Govt allocates Rs 3.019 bln for Information, Broadcasting projects under PSDP 2026-27

The federal government has allocated Rs3.019 billion for two ongoing projects of the Information and Broadcasting Division under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2026-27 to support media infrastructure and archival initiatives.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 12 (APP): The federal government has allocated Rs3.019 billion for two ongoing projects of the Information and Broadcasting Division under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2026-27 to support media infrastructure and archival initiatives.
According to the PSDP 2026-27 released on Friday, an allocation of Rs659.252 million has been made for the National Information Media Archival Repository (NIMAR).
The project, approved by the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) on February 21, 2025, carries a total approved cost of Rs2.966 billion. The estimated expenditure on the project up to June 30, 2026 stands at Rs2.307 billion, while its throw-forward liability from July 1, 2026 is Rs659.252 million.
Meanwhile, the government has allocated Rs2.360 billion for the Revamping of PTVC project.
The project, approved by the CDWP on June 26, 2024 (RUP), has a total approved cost of Rs3.974 billion. The estimated expenditure up to June 30, 2026 is Rs1.492 billion, while the throw-forward liability amounts to Rs2.482 billion.
Overall, the Information and Broadcasting Division’s ongoing development portfolio comprises two projects with a combined approved cost of Rs6.940 billion. The estimated expenditure up to June 30, 2026 is Rs3.799 billion, while the total throw-forward liability stands at Rs3.141 billion.
Under PSDP 2026-27, the government has provided a total allocation of Rs3.019 billion for the two ongoing schemes of the division.
