NA session starts

ISLAMABAD, Jun 12 (APP): The session of the National Assembly (NA) began on Friday with Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in the chair.

Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb will present the Federal Budget for the fiscal year 2026–27 before the House.

As per the agenda shared by the National Assembly, the minister will also lay the Annual Budget Statement for 2026–27, along with revised estimates for 2025–26.

In addition, he will present the Demands for Grants and Appropriations for 2026–27, as well as regular and technical supplementary grants for 2024–25 and 2025–26.

The Excess Budget Statements for 2016–17 and 2024–25 will also be tabled.

The Finance Minister is also expected to introduce the Finance Bill 2026, aimed at giving legal effect to the federal government’s financial proposals for the new fiscal year and amending relevant laws.
