COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Sahiwal Campus, organised the Alumni Excellence Award Ceremony 2026 on Friday to recognise and celebrate the exceptional achievements of its alumni in professional careers, entrepreneurship, and community service.

LAHORE, Jun 12 (APP): COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Sahiwal Campus, organised the Alumni Excellence Award Ceremony 2026 on Friday to recognise and celebrate the exceptional achievements of its alumni in professional careers, entrepreneurship, and community service.
According to a spokesperson for COMSATS University, the ceremony was aimed at strengthening alumni engagement, acknowledging the accomplishments of former students, and inspiring current students through the success stories of distinguished graduates. The initiative reflects the university’s commitment to maintaining lifelong connections with its alumni while promoting excellence, leadership, innovation, and social responsibility.
Addressing the ceremony, Director COMSATS University Islamabad, Sahiwal Campus, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Soroya congratulated the award recipients and praised their valuable contributions in their respective fields. He described alumni as ambassadors of the university and reiterated the institution’s commitment to excellence in education, research, innovation, and community development.
He stressed that strong interaction between the university and its alumni can create new opportunities for students, facilitate the sharing of professional experiences, strengthen industry linkages, and enhance the academic and research environment. He also encouraged alumni to remain connected with their alma mater through mentoring, collaborative projects, and institutional development. On the occasion, he announced plans to organize an Alumni Dinner to further improve networking and coordination among graduates.
Deputy Commandant of Punjab Prison Staff Training College, Sahiwal, Malik Shoukat Feroz Awan, attended the event as the chief guest. In his address, he appreciated the university for recognizing the accomplishments of its graduates and for creating a platform that strengthens ties between the institution and its alumni. He urged students to take inspiration from successful alumni and strive for excellence in their academic and professional pursuits.
General Manager and In-charge Alumni Affairs at the Principal Seat of COMSATS University Islamabad, Naveed Ahmad Khan, also attended the ceremony and highlighted the importance of strengthening alumni engagement across all campuses.
During the ceremony, Wahaj Abbas Awan received the Distinguished Young Alumni Award, Kashif Sohail was honored with the Social Impact and Community Service Award, Maha Ali received the Professional Achievement Award, while Umer Shoaib was presented the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of awards and certificates, followed by a networking session and a group photograph. Participants described the event as an important step toward strengthening alumni relations and celebrating graduates who continue to bring distinction to COMSATS University Islamabad, Sahiwal Campus.
