MD SPA calls for improved sanitation service delivery

RAWALPINDI, Jun 11 (APP):Managing Director (MD) Suthra Punjab Agency (SPA), Rawalpindi, Rana Sajid Safdar, on Thursday, directed the concerned officials to ensure the effective utilisation of available assets, machinery, vehicles and manpower to improve service delivery and provide better facilities to the public.
Presiding over a meeting to review ongoing sanitation operations under the Suthra Punjab Programme across the Rawalpindi Division, he said the Suthra Punjab Programme was a flagship initiative of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif aimed at modernising sanitation systems in both urban and rural areas of the province.
“The quality of sanitation services should be continuously improved to meet public expectations,” he said.
The meeting was attended by MD SPA Attock Anil Saeed, MD SPA Murree Omar Owais, MD SPA Jhelum Aliza Rehan, MD SPA Chakwal Bilal Bin Abdul Hafeez, MD SPA Talagang Suleman Mansha, district managers of the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) and contractors, as well as other relevant officers.
Anil Saeed informed the meeting that all available resources were being utilised in Attock to further enhance the quality of sanitation services.
Omar Owais said special arrangements had been made to maintain cleanliness in Murree’s sensitive and tourist areas.
Aliza Rehan said operational activities in Jhelum were being monitored continuously to ensure uninterrupted sanitation services for residents.
Bilal Bin Abdul Hafeez said relevant institutions in Chakwal were working in close coordination and implementing effective strategies to bring significant improvements to the sanitation system under the programme.
Suleman Mansha said the best use of available resources and machinery was being ensured in Talagang to make sanitation operations more effective and achieve the targets set under the initiative.
The participants reiterated their commitment to providing high-quality sanitation facilities to the public through the Suthra Punjab Programme.
