ISLAMABAD, Jun 11 (APP):Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty during which both leaders expressed hope that ongoing mediation efforts would lead to an early understanding between the parties, contributing to lasting regional peace and stability.
During the interaction, both the dignitaries discussed regional developments and stressed the importance of continued dialogue and diplomatic engagement, a DPM’s Office news release said.
FM Abdelatty appreciated Pakistan’s continued mediation efforts, and extended an invitation to DPM/FM Dar to attend the upcoming meeting of the Regional Four (R-4) foreign ministers in Egypt later this month, which the DPM/FM graciously accepted and both sides agreed to remain in close contact.
