KARACHI, Jun 10 (APP): The Sindh Government organized here a ceremony on Wednesday in honor of the athletes who won medals at the 35th National Games 2025.
A total of 26.3 million rupees in cash awards were distributed among Sindh’s athletes by the provincial government.
The ceremony, hosted by the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Sindh, took place at the Ibrahim Joyo Auditorium, Liaquat Library, Karachi. The chief guest was Sindh Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar.
The event was attended by DIG Traffic Syed Pir Muhammad Shah, Director Sports Asad Ishaq, Chief Engineer Muhammad Aslam Mahar, Sindh Olympic Association Secretary Ahmed Ali Rajput, Treasurer Asghar Baloch, and other dignitaries.
It is worth noting that Sindh secured a total of 92 medals at the 35th National Games held in Karachi from December 6 to 12, 2025. Sindh athletes won 11 gold, 25 silver, and 56 bronze medals.
Speaking on the occasion, Sindh Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar said that hosting the National Games in 2025 after 18 years was a major challenge, successfully accomplished under the leadership of Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar, with full guidance and support from Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and Chief Secretary Sindh.
He added that athletes and officials from across the country praised Sindh’s hospitality. Sindh Police, Rangers, and other law enforcement agencies also played a vital role in the successful organization of the event.
