KARACHI, Jun 10 (APP): Pakistan Meteorological Department, Wednesday, forecast very hot and dry weather over most districts of Sindh during the next 24 hours while intense heat may cause dust-storms at isolated places in plain areas of the province.
According to the met office, heatwave conditions are likely to prevail over most parts of the province till 12 June and daytime temperatures may remain 04 to 06 C above normal and may rise to 48 to 51 C in Sukkur, Shikarpur, Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Larkana, Moen jo daro, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Ghotki, Khairpur and Naushahro Feroze.
During the forecast period, maximum temperature in Karachi division likely to remain between 39 to 42 C while from 42 to 45 C in Tharparker, Badin, Hyderabad, Matiari, Tando Muhamad Khan, Umerkot, Mirpur Khas, Jamshoro and Sanghar districts, the met office informed.
Very hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the province. The highest maximum temperature in the province was recorded at Jacobabad where mercury touched 50 mark on Celsus scale.
Highest maximum temperature in Dadu was recorded as 49 C, in Nawabshah, Moen jo Daro and Sukkur 47 C, Hyderabad 44 C, Mithi 40 C, and Thatta and Karachi 37 C.
