May 9 cases: Jail trial in Jinnah House, Askari Tower attack cases adjourned until July 2

The jail trial of the Jinnah House and Askari Tower attack cases related to the May 9 riots was conducted at Kot Lakhpat Jail on Wednesday, where an anti-terrorism court adjourned proceedings until July 2 and summoned prosecution witnesses to record their statements.

LAHORE, Jun 10 (APP): The jail trial of the Jinnah House and Askari Tower attack cases related to the May 9 riots was conducted at Kot Lakhpat Jail on Wednesday, where an anti-terrorism court adjourned proceedings until July 2 and summoned prosecution witnesses to record their statements.
The hearing was presided over by ATC Administrative Judge Manzer Ali Gill. Court staff completed the attendance of all accused persons, including those on bail and those currently in custody.
More than 200 suspects have been nominated in the Jinnah House attack case. Among the detained accused who appeared before the court were PTI leaders Dr Yasmin Rashid, Omar Sarfraz Cheema, Ejaz Chaudhry and Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed.
Defence counsel Rana Mudassar Umar and Mian Ali Ammar Advocate represented the accused during the proceedings.
Other nominated suspects in the cases include Aliya Hamza, Tayyaba Raja and Rubina Jamil, among others.
