Worker’s remittances up by 9.21% to $38.1bn in Jul-May FY26

ISLAMABAD, Jun 10 (APP):Workers’ remittance inflows increased by 9.21 percent to US$38.1 billion during the first eleven months of fiscal year 2025–26, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Wednesday.
The country received inflows of US$38.109 billion during July–May 2025–26, compared to US$34.892 billion during the same period of FY2024–25, reflecting growth of 9.21 percent.
On a year-on-year basis, workers’ remittances rose by 15.35 percent in May 2026 to US$4.251 billion, up from US$3.685 billion in May 2025.
Similarly, on a month-on-month basis, workers’ remittances went up by 20.18 percent in May 2026 compared to US$3.537 billion recorded in April 2026.
Remittances during May 2026 were mainly sourced from Saudi Arabia (US$ 1,025 million), United Arab Emirates (US$ 1006.6 million), United Kingdom (US$ 645.5 million) and United States of America (US$ 349.8 million).
